Hello!
My name is Raquel Cole and I am one of the emotional support special education teachers at Trinity Middle School. This is my second year at Trinity, but 9th year teaching. In the past, I have taught English 9-12, learning support English 9-12, inclusion English 7-12, and elective classes.
I live in the City of Washington, but am from McKees Rocks originally. I graduated from Montour High School in 2007, Saint Francis University in 2010 with a B.A. in English with secondary education certification, Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a M.S. in Sports Science and Sports Management, and Slippery Rock University in 2013 with a M.Ed. in Special Education N-12. I played division I softball for 3 years at Saint Francis before graduating early. I played division II softball for a season at IUP while obtaining my first master’s degree. While at IUP, we won our first ever PSAC championship and went on to the Women’s College World Series where we placed 7th in the nation in 2011.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three Yorkies (Gizmo, LuLu, and Minnie) and our Holland Lop rabbit Ralphie. I also enjoy spending time with our families, going to the movies, hunting, tutoring, giving softball lessons, and being involved at my church- First Baptist of Washington.
