Ms. Guthrie graduated from Edinboro University in 2018 with a BFA in Studio Art (metalsmithing/jewelry and ceramics) and a BS in Art Education. Before attending school for art education, she did educational outreach with a printshop (Artists Image Resource) and ceramic studio (WAD Clay Institute) to schools and other groups throughout the Pittsburgh area. Ms. Guthrie also attended Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) where she earned her Associate's in Art and Certificate in Welding Technology.  This is her first year of teaching and she is thrilled that it is with Trinity Middle School, after completing her student teaching at Trinity Elementary and High Schools.  She is excited to introduce middle school students to new artists, techniques, and ways of making meaning in their artwork.
