Welcome to Mrs.Seelye’s fourth grade mathematics class. What an amazing journey we get to embark on together this 2019-2020 school year! I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher and believe that together we can provide your child with a successful and memorable learning experience.

Throughout the year your child will be studying the 5 main areas of mathematics. These include: Numbers/Operations in Base Ten, Operations & Algebraic Thinking, Fractions, Measurement & Data, and Geometry. One of the main focuses will be building multiplication fact fluency. Your child will be expected to complete nightly homework assignments and to always try their best!

Each student will record their assignments in their planners and a parent’s signature/initials as verification of completed work is strongly encouraged. Your child’s grades and assignments will be updated weekly to your Skyward account. I also send out reminders, photos, and updates through the free Remind app or www.remind.com

The transition from third to fourth grade is a big one and I will do everything I can to make it a smooth and successful year!
