Welcome to first grade at Trinity South Elementary School. 

My name is Mrs. Yim and I would love for you to get to know me better.

I am a graduate of Edinboro University. This is where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have also earned a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Gannon University. In addition, I have earned my Principal Certification through California University of PA.

My teaching career has been full of changes... After earning my elementary degree, I moved to Los Angeles where I taught second and third grade at Valley Community Charter School. After a few years, I moved back to Pittsburgh and began teaching first grade at Saint Margaret of Scotland School where I taught for 4 years. Then, I finally found my home here at Trinity where I taught fifth grade for three years before being moved into first grade. I was very excited about this move because I love teaching first grade! I was hired as part of the Trinity Family in 2008.

I have a wonderful husband named Jason and three beautiful daughters. Madie, the oldest, loves everything sport related. Miley always has a smile on her face and love, loves, loves puppies. The baby of the family is Miya. She is full of energy and has a super spunky personality. We also have a puppy named Toby, too!

In my spare time, I love to read! I also enjoy being outdoors whether it be on the sand at the beach or in the woods while we are camping.

We are going to have a fun and exciting year together!  I can't wait to see what adventures we can create!
