Welcome to third grade! I am thrilled that your child is in my class this year. This will be an exciting year as we build on past successes and learn many new things together.

You can find important contact information, your child’s schedule, and our class list inside your child’s DOT binder. You will also find your child’s spelling list and current math vocabulary inside his/her DOT binder. Our lunch is from 11:30-12:00 each day.  Recess will be from 2:45-3:15 each day.

New in third grade you, will find the use of a student planner. This will be housed inside the DOT binder. It is very important to check this nightly, as all assignments, quizzes, tests, and important reminders will be logged into it. Each night your child will bring home his/her DOT binder. Please check this daily with your child. Pockets are labeled for materials that need to be brought back and what can remain at home. I will discuss my homework guidelines and my behavior management system at Open House on September 18th.
