Eric Lauver is currently the Principal at Trinity North Elementary School and a candidate for the Doctor of Education degree at Point Park University. Previously, he was appointed as Assistant Principal at Trinity High School in July 2017 and Assistant Principal at Trinity Middle School from November 2015 to July 2017. Mr. Lauver came to Trinity as the director of the Trinity High School Marching Band. Previously, he has held appointments as an Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Duquesne University; an Adjunct Faculty member of the City Music Center at Duquesne University; Elementary Band Director/Music Teacher in the award-winning Bethel Park School District; Director of Bands at Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, Maryland; Associate Marching Band Director at Moon Area High School in Moon Township, Pennsylvania; Saxophone/Woodwind Technician at Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Marching Band Assistant Director/Chamber Music Coach/Studio Teacher in the West Allegheny School District in Imperial, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Lauver is the co-author of The Complete Saxophonist, a comprehensive saxophone technique book, published by Northeastern Music Publishers. He is in demand as a clinican, presenting at national conferences on a variety of arts and technology issues in education, including composition and flipped learning. He is passionate about providing a positive, welcoming learning climate that embraces 21st Century Skills while using data to drive instruction.
Mr. Lauver lives with his wife, Rie, who is a Music Teacher in the Mt. Lebanon School District, and two sons, Alex and Aaron in Jefferson Hills.
