Class Description/Letter to Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians,

   As I'm sure you are aware, we are starting online classes on Monday 3/30/20 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Although I would much rather be teaching your child in my classroom at Trinity Middle School, I am going to do my best to continue to provide your child with a valuable education through Google Classroom.  I have already been using Google Classroom throughout the school year, so your child should be familiar with it.  If they forgot or if you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  The following schedule for all of my classes will be used throughout our online learning time:


Monday:  Readworks Assignment (First assignment will be posted April 6)

Tuesday:  Skill of week in a google doc

Wednesday:  Read on your own and post about what you read on message board in Google Classroom

Thursday:  Any ELA IXL starred item for 20 minutes

Friday:  Friday Discussion (respond to post in Google Classroom in 2-3 sentences)


I am very flexible with due dates and understand if your child may need additional time to complete assignments.  Please reach out to me if you have any issues.   My set office hours are Monday-Friday 10am-11am daily.  During that hour I will be readily available to you and your child.  

Finally, if I am your child's IEP case manager and your child needs assistance in any other class please reach out to me.  I will also be working with his/her other teachers to provide guidance.  My district cell phone number will be listed in Google Classroom for you to reach out to me.  Please stay safe and let me know if I can assist you in any way.
