Hello second grade! This fall students started the year by creating sketchbooks which will be stored in the art room and used to sketch ideas for big projects and to complete individual drawings. 

Our next project, students practiced paint mixing and created a mural based on the book The Dot and International Dot Day. 

The next projects were partnerships with the PTO and covered four-five weeks of art time creating pumpkins and Christmas fundraisers. 

Because of our rotating schedule with the Pittsburgh Glass Center and our regular school calendar, we will miss some individual art project times. However, each student should complete one more project by Thanksgiving with more to come in December.
