Accounting I

This course will build a foundation for anyone who plans to continue studying business and/or Accounting at the collegiate level.  The studies include starting an Accounting system, anlyzing debit and credit transactions, journalizing and posting business transactions and completing end-of-fiscal-period work.  Various computerized business simulations will be completed throughout the year, giving students hands on computer experience with activities in the accounting cycle.

1.  Analyzing stocks using google.finance

2.  Job Research using Monster.com

3.  Use of Accounting Software ~ Excel, Peachtree, and Quicken

4.  Researching the Big 4 Accounting Firms

5.  Fortune 500 Projects
